Is Swipelis free?
It is free to download. To learn, you need a subscription. New subscribers get a 7-day free trial on the yearly plan, then it is $89.99 a year. There is also a $19.99 monthly plan with no trial. There are no ads.
What happens when the trial ends?
When the 7 days end, the yearly plan starts and your store account is charged $89.99 (US price; your store shows your local price). Cancel at least 24 hours before the trial ends and you pay nothing.
How do I cancel?
On iPhone: Settings, your name, Subscriptions, Swipelis. On Android: Google Play, your profile, Payments & subscriptions, Subscriptions. Billing is handled by the store, not by us.
Which languages can I learn?
Thirty: Spanish, French, German, Italian, Portuguese, Chinese, Japanese, Korean, Russian, Arabic, Hindi, Turkish, Dutch, Polish, Swedish, Greek, Hebrew, Vietnamese, Indonesian, Thai, Tagalog, Czech, Romanian, Ukrainian, Hungarian, Bengali, Tamil, Telugu, Norwegian and English. The app itself can be shown in any of the same thirty.
Is it good for complete beginners?
Yes. There are three difficulties, and Beginner uses simple, everyday words. There is no typing, and every answer shows the meaning in your own language. Swipelis teaches words: what they look like in real life, how they sound and what they mean. It is not a grammar course or conversation practice.
Is there an Android app?
It is built and coming soon to Google Play. Today Swipelis is on iPhone (iOS 18 or later).Yes. Swipelis is on Google Play for Android 8.0 or later, and on the App Store for iPhone (iOS 18 or later).
How is it different from other language apps?
It works like a video feed instead of a course. Each card is one short clip, one question and four answers. There are no lessons to schedule, no hearts or lives, and no daily limit. Words you miss come back a few swipes later.
Do I need an account?
No. You can skip it. A free account saves your progress and syncs it between devices, including between iPhone and Android. A subscription bought in one store does not carry over to the other.
